- Midwest Mac Expo Scheduled for June 25
-
- (Indianapolis) - February 4, 1994 - The Apple Pickers, Inc., in association
- with Apple Computer, Inc., will sponsor a computer trade fair and exposition at
- the Indiana Convention Center on June 25, 1994. Titled the “Midwest Mac Expo”
- the event will feature three separate sets of seminars and over 50 exhibitors.

- The seminars will cover topics of interest to both novice computer users as
- well as seasoned professionals. Seminars leaders will include persons from
- Apple Pickers, Apple Computer, and other exhibitors.

- The one day event will feature local and national vendors of Macintosh™
- computer software and hardware as well as local providers of custom computing
- services. The trade fair will open at 8:00 AM and remain open throughout the
- show until the 5:00 PM close. Attendees will be able to view and try out the
- latest in computer hardware and software.

- One set of seminars will cover topics of interest to beginning computer
- users. These include advice on choosing a computer system, tutorials on using
- entry level software programs, and a question and answer session with
- professional computer personnel.

- The second seminar track will be devoted to topics of interest to
- professional desktop publishing and graphics personnel. Sessions planned
- include font technology, cross platform document standards and state of the art
- graphic manipulation. Given the volatile nature of the industry some sessions
- are being left open for demonstrations of emerging technology.

- The third seminar track will cover topics of interest to business users of
- personal computers. Several local vendors will be demonstrating techniques of
- building custom business programs using database programs such as FileMaker
- Pro™ and Fourth Dimension™. There will also be a session devoted to the future
- of computing in view of upcoming hardware and system software from Apple
- Computer.

- Admission to the Midwest Mac Expo will be $5.00 at the door. Several of
- the vendors displaying at the fair will have advanced registration forms
